Photography gives what I see a voice.
Meet Mark — Your Naples & Marco Island Beach Photographer
I see subtle things about each person that makes them special. Crafting images that represent them is what motivates me.
Husband, father, son, and brother in a tight-knit family. Didn’t go to college, choosing instead to serve in the United States Army.
My face is weathered from spending my life outdoors, especially by the sea.
Favorite city is Paris. I could easily spend days on end strolling the 6th arr, and visiting Musée du Louvre.
My dad was an amazing photographer. He documented our family on slide film the way some people keep journals — constantly, instinctively, with real care. Growing up surrounded by those images shaped the way I view things around me.
On my bookshelf today you’ll find a dozen or so classic film cameras alongside the books of photographers who inspire me most — Robert Doisneau, Elliott Erwitt, Vivian Maier. I pick them up between editing sessions and get lost in the stories their images tell. That’s the standard I hold myself to.
What 15 Years on These Beaches Looks Like
I’ve photographed thousands of families on Naples and Marco Island beaches. Toddlers who wouldn’t look at the camera. Teenagers who didn’t want to be there. Grandparents visiting from out of state who hadn’t been in a photo in years. Every combination imaginable.
What I’ve learned is that the best images don’t come from posing — they come from connection. My job is to put your family at ease quickly, find the moments that are genuinely yours, and get out of the way when something real happens.
I know these beaches the way a local knows their neighborhood. I know where the light falls at 6:15 on a Tuesday in January versus a Saturday in July. I know which spots are quiet and which are crowded, which locations flatter large groups and which work better for couples. That knowledge is part of what you’re hiring when you book with me.
